Wall

This is a wall by a restaurant off Cortez street. Little metal lizards are climbing on the wall indicating that here is restaurant called "Lyzzards." Metal art is quite common in this part of the world, some people like to decorate their yards with them.

That's neat. I like the idea of little metal lizards.

I think they are geckos, which are one of two favorite Western lizard art forms. The other: the Gila monster.

I love geckos. In fact, I'm pretty sure I have met both in the wild. One time on the trail there was a green little "lizard" (gecko?) just hanging out by the trail - and another time.. well who knows what it was..

I have several kinds of lizard in my yard who do those wonderful push-ups on a log, but no geckos and, at our elevation, no Gila monsters, either.
