These beautiful cacti flowers were blooming in the middle of nowhere by a trail. This is one reason I love the outdoors: You just never know what you'll run into.

It's wonderful to come across the unexpected! Happy valentines.
Claret cup cactus are especially wonderful as one of the few cacti that grow and bloom as high as Flagstaff (7000 ft.)
