Forest flower

In Prescott National Forest, some flowers are so amazing. Makes you wonder how they survive the extremes of cold and heat, but somehow they make it.

September morning

So - the fall is here and I look at some of my flowers that grew this year. Some made it and some did not. It has been challenging to learn about the demands of the nature here in Prescott. This summer has been great though with abundant rain. So - here is one of my flowers that is a late bloomer and simply delightful.

The extraordinary Ordinary

Hello everyone - I hope all of your summer anticipation is bringing your heart's desires: warmth, color and happiness. I was finishing my studies in web design and was not posting that much, but hopefully now that I have summer break, I can get out and take more pictures. You probably figure out real soon looking at my pictures that I enjoy taking nature shots the best - Here is one of my planters in front of my house - bringing us some wonderful color and memories of my grandma's farm.

Arizona Valentine Flower

These beautiful cacti flowers were blooming in the middle of nowhere by a trail. This is one reason I love the outdoors: You just never know what you'll run into.

I love Lupins

Last summer while riding one of the trails, I spotted these lupins. It is so great to see these wild flowers in the wilderness. I almost wanted to ask: How in the world did you guys get here? That is to say, it is quite dry in Arizona and to find flowers like this is a sort of a jackpot. Anyway, I love lupins.
