Agave Blooms

Prickly Pear

This is a very common cactus in our area: prickly pear (Opuntia). The trails by Granite Mountain are surrounded by this "beauty" - even so that sometimes you got to watch out that your legs do not touch the needles as you ride along the trails.

Arizona Valentine Flower

These beautiful cacti flowers were blooming in the middle of nowhere by a trail. This is one reason I love the outdoors: You just never know what you'll run into.
