Down the Hill

Summertime, going down the Mt. Tritle Road is a real hoot. The road just goes down on and on and on again. The trees along this road provide a wonderful shade. Just what one needs on a warm day. (This picture is from last summer)

Something about the Tulips

Tulips are really my favorite flower. They look smooth and polished. My husband found these in one of our stores even though it is not quite the season yet. What a delight. ( I learned from my photography instructor to spray the flowers with water to give it a nice appeal.)

Eagle

"His Majesty" is back. This eagle and his companion make their habitat for the spring here at Lynx Lake. I bet a sugar free Dark Chocolate Godiva Bar with my husband for the first sighting of this awesome bird. (My husband won.) If you have an appreciation for the wildlife - you know how it feels to see an animal like this in the nature. Welcome Back you Eagle of strength, independence and grace. (I was dissatisfied with the color results of this picture, therefore I photoshopped it in an attempt to give the bird more appropriate attention).

Watch for Snakes!

I took this photo last summer on top of Spruce Mountain (part of the Prescott Bradshaw mountains). Arizona is known for its snakes, especially the rattlers. As long as I have been riding the mountain bike, I have been very fortunate not to encounter one of these. "Knock on wood" - and I hope I never will.
