Happy Valentine's

For all people we wish a Happy Valentine's Day, Happy Friendship Day and just a Happy Day. "Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their work:

10 If one falls down,
his friend can help him up.
But pity the man who falls
and has no one to help him up!

11 Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.
But how can one keep warm alone? " (Ecclesiastes 4)

Eagle

"His Majesty" is back. This eagle and his companion make their habitat for the spring here at Lynx Lake. I bet a sugar free Dark Chocolate Godiva Bar with my husband for the first sighting of this awesome bird. (My husband won.) If you have an appreciation for the wildlife - you know how it feels to see an animal like this in the nature. Welcome Back you Eagle of strength, independence and grace. (I was dissatisfied with the color results of this picture, therefore I photoshopped it in an attempt to give the bird more appropriate attention).

The Old Trees of Mt. Vernon Street

The street of Mt Vernon is neat place with its older homes and the trees that have such a presence. I drive by this street frequently as it is on my way to one of my favorite trails.

Portrait of a Cowboy

In Prescott - you'll run into cowboys now and then. Of course - it is the origins of the wild west. You see them riding their horses and tending the cattle - I spotted a cowboy once on my way to work - he was sitting on a huge rock, reading a book - had his western hat on and his full riding gear - probably was waiting for the rest of the crew to show up so they could start rounding up the cows... I have to admit - it brings its own unique flavor..

My first Prescott Blog Picture

Hello everyone: My name is Karoliina Urso and I am a trained digital photographer. I am originally from Finland but have lived in Prescott Arizona the last 27 years. This is a wild western town, the home of the first rodeo (which I never attend) - but more importantly a very beautiful rugged mountaneous community with a network of trails that one can only dream of. I am a serious mountainbiker as well which contributes to my appreciation of the trails and this challenging nature. Back to photographing: here is a pic of Watson Lake, Prescott. It is known for its very unsual rock formations. In fact, my husband Raymond and I had our wedding pics taken there.
