By the Palace Bar and Saloon

Along Whiskey Row this is a very historic saloon and eating place. Whiskey Row apparently got its name from a row of bars along this block. A Prescott poet, Gail Gardner, once wrote of "Whiskey Row":
"Oh they starts her in at the Kaintucky bar,
at the head of Whiskey Row,
and they winds up down by the Depot House,
some forty drinks below."

Corner of Gurley/Montezuma Street

This is the intersection of Gurley - Montezuma streets, also known as the Whiskey Row. THe building in the front is St. Michael's Cafe - a good place for a hot cup of coffee on a winter day. See the "steamy" substance off the road..
what do you think it is? a. steam from sewer b. smog from a car c. subway steam???

Here it is right off Whiskey Row: a genuine western hat shop. You can find hats for almost all occasion - well, at least for winter and summer... and then some.

Infamous Whiskey Row

Here is a pic of one of Prescott's most infamous western flair: Whiskey Row. I suppose they call it so, because of the abundance of bars along this strip. Nowadays there are a quite a few tourist gift shops and art galleries there. In the summertime it is cool to walk up and down this area and just hang out a bit... that is if you are into it. (I prefer the forest)
