Exploring the Havasupai area...

Rock Falls

These are the first falls you'll see as you enter into Havasupai...these falls were created by the recent flood in 2008.

Wild west

At Hualapai Hilltop, the only transport is a horse or a mule. An indian is taking the horses to the top early in the morning.

Trekking

My husband is watching as the horses are galloping by him by the switchbacks of Hualapai Hilltop on the way to Havasupai Falls.

Mexican Fire

That is the name of this plant. Bright reds..little firey flowers light up the green leaves.

Another of my planter creations

After I had planted this Autumn Shade I happened to read in the instructions that the plant likes "part shade" and I did NOT want to dig it back up from the ground fearing that I would hurt its roots and eventually kill it - so, my solution was to build a "partial shade" for it. Again, I used some old wood I found on the ground in the forest and this is what I came up with. Besides, I wanted my backyard garden to have a little of some my own handywork anyway..

Lattice

I got creative and made a lattice for this plant out of thin wood that I found laying around in the woods. Just roped them together and this is what came up. A home-made lattice.

Backyard Landscaping

We are working on landscaping our backyard...my husband has done great job. I pick the plants and he plants them.
